My name is Kim.
Here’s my no-bullshit approach to PPC.

Kim Kohatsu founded a PPC agency in Los Angeles

PPC is one of those things that’s easy to do… In fact, it’s too easy.

Google says, “hey, sign up, and your ads will be live in minutes!” You create a campaign and wait for the magic to start.

But then, nothing happens. Your phone doesn’t ring. Your sales don’t improve. And you get a fat bill for those ads.

So maybe you contact another PPC agency in Los Angeles. Or you find a PPC consultant. They tell you, pay us, and we’ll fix it all for you.

They’re pros, right? Surely they know something you don’t. So why haven’t they produced results either?

You’re about to give up. But there’s a part of you that thinks, there has to be a way for Google to work for my business. And you’re right.

Welcome to Charles Ave Marketing

Charles Ave Marketing is Madison Ave for Small Businesses and Startups. We’re a PPC agency in Los Angeles and a Certified Google Ads Partner.

But at Charles Ave, you won’t hear from some flashy salesperson only to have your campaign managed by a faceless somebody in the Phillippines. You’ll work directly with the company founder Kim Kohatsu. That is, you’ll work directly with me.

About me

This is the part where I tell you how I’m better than everyone you’ve considered but try not to sound like a pompous jerk.

Here’s the truth: the world of PPC management companies is rife with bullshit, dishonesty, and incompetence. And one thing I can promise is I won’t waste your time with any of that.

Over the past decade, I have managed international, million-dollar PPC campaigns as well as much smaller regional campaigns that only spent a few hundred. My clients have run the gamut from software companies to luxury lifestyle brands to local dentists.

I wasn’t always an online marketer. I started my career in ad agencies, where I wrote TV, radio, print, and online ads for companies big and small. This means I bring a rare combination of traditional branding savvy and current search engine marketing skills. It also means that my team and I can help you in ways beyond PPC, including content creation, social media, and video marketing, just to name a few.

Pricing

My no-BS approach means I can publish my rates in a fully transparent manner. Depending on your needs and budget, I can work with you on an hourly, project, or monthly retainer basis.

The Charles Ave difference

Charles Ave Marketing differs from most PPC agencies in two major ways. First, I do not charge a percentage of ad spend. Why? Because I don’t work for Google – I work for you. I don’t care if Google makes money. I care if you make money. Upping your budget isn’t always the best advice, and by only charging for my labor and time, I free myself to steer you in the best direction. It doesn’t impact what I make, and that makes saving your marketing dollars a win for both of us.

The second major difference is I don’t outsource my work. I make all changes and recommendations myself, except in cases like creating graphics or implementing source code, which I price differently and transparently. I’ll always tell you if someone other than me is touching your account. Other agencies will assign you an account manager, but the actual work is done by someone in another country or by a freelancer who they haven’t personally met or vetted. By doing my own work, nothing gets lost in a game of telephone or through cultural or geographic differences.
